About Sorbus Breakfast Business Networking Group

What’s in a name?
We wanted to acknowledge our beautiful surroundings and location so took inspiration from one of the service trees, called Sorbus Torminalis, that grows within an area of ancient woodland here at Belfairs.

Our analogy is this:
If you plant a root it grows and creates a trunk or foundation to support the branches above. Similarly over time as more people attend our meetings, new connections are made and relationships formed just like the branches of the tree.

The synergy that occurs can lead to potential business opportunities between people (twigs) and opportunities (blossom) and ultimately contracts or increased turnover (fruit and flowers).

For us this really symbolises the core of networking with its strong base and continually growing network that helps ensure new growth and opportunities.
